Patricia and Tim are as good as it gets. Both of my children have used their tutoring services. From high school placement testing to SAT's and to college entrance exams essays. They worked as a great team to insure that both of our children's needs were met. We will be returning again for SAT prep for one child and GRE prep for another. I wish I could give 20 starts for Patricia Bowers, as she deserves every one of them! My son worked on his college essays with Patricia this fall, and got into his top schools. She helped him organize his work, prep for every essay for every school and keep a timeline of all due dates. She made writing the essays easy and fun (who can say that about college essays?). My son enjoyed each and every session he had with Patricia and always came home with interesting new facts about college life that he had learned fron her!! Her sense of humor and her genuine affection for the kids is wonderful. She absolutely wants the kids to succeed, and she is willing to do anything to help them. I have two more boys to go through this process, and you can bet they will all be meeting with Patricia! She is an absolute gem and a real pleasure to work with!! The Bowers came highly recommended and tutored my daughter during her junior and senior years. They tutored her in any class that she needed assistance. In addition to helping her learn the material and be successful in the class they also focused on the learning process. Our long-term goal was from my daughter to become more independent and ultimately responsible for her own learning. My daughter attended BBC Tutoring to prepare for HSPT exam. She had a great a time learning from Patricia and Tim Bowers. They were very helpful and methodical. The one -on-one teaching helped my child a lot. She had lots apprehension about the comprehension part of the test, and she got a lot of practice in this area. Also Patricia helped my daughter in her essay questions. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone.
I am a former student of Mrs. Bowers and I couldn't have picked a better tutor to help me get into my first choice college. I am currently a student at the four year university of my choice and excelling thanks to Mrs. B. During the application process, she helped me revise and perfect my personal statement as well as other essay questions I filled out.
